Our group offers theses on hot topics in system and software security. If you are interested in writing a thesis in the area of security, please contact Professor Davi for an appointment. Based on your interests, skills and our current research topics, we will then select a topic for your thesis or project.

Theses in our group usually are usually about with systems software and a part of the thesis will be the development of a prototype. Therefore, it is of advantage if you have at least some background knowledge in one of the following topics:

• Very good in handling Linux systems (command line, build tools, docker, shell scripting, etc.)
• System programming in C/C++
• Scripting with Python
• Operating system internals
• Understanding of compiler, linker and loader
• Reverse Engineering
• Computer (micro-)architectures
• Program analysis
