Too slow, too formal, too far from everyday work: Many development teams today forgo classical requirements specifications and prefer informal alternatives such as conversations or issue trackers. In his Distinguished Lecture on June 9, 2026, Prof. Dr. Fabiano Dalpiaz of Utrecht University will present his research on these informal requirements artifacts. He will highlight the opportunities GenAI opens up in this area and where limitations remain when it comes to validation.
